rude. chara can be interpreted into alot of things the player wants them to be.
I disagree. Chara represents your hate. They only show up at the end once you've eleminated every monster in the game, resurecting their soul.

Flowey does remember being Asriel, but doesn't remember what it felt like. The entire point of his character is to feel anything at all, which is why he kills you multiple times in his battle. He wants emotions back, something he lost when he died and lost his soul. Further more, if he didn't remember his past life, he wouldn't keep referencing Chara, as he would have no idea who Chara is since he/she died before flowey experienced anything as flowey instead of Asreil. The fact that Flowey knows who Chara is means that he does retain memories of Asriel's life, just not the emotions associated with them.
