Items can be bought, picked up, and used by the protagonist throughout the game. They can be stored in Dimensional Boxes and sold at the Tem Shop in Temmie Village.
Some weapons and armor come in "sets" (bandanna + glove, tutu + ballet shoes), signaling about the other humans that fell down like the protagonist did, their belongings now scattered. The battle with Photoshop Flowey displays items that are thematically similar to these sets during the SOULs' interference (knives, gloves, ballet shoes, notebooks, frying pans, gun).

Trivia[]
- Item names being shortened on the battle screen is a reference to old game translations.[2] Since this only occurred in the translations and not the original Japanese, they are not used when Undertale is played in Japanese.[3]
