- Despite the flavor text seeming to "neutralize dog magic," using this item in the Artifact Room does not allow the protagonist to remove the Annoying Dog from their inventory to obtain the artifact.
- The Hush Puppy is unobtainable if Papyrus is killed, as the protagonist cannot purchase the Hot Dog...? from Sans.
