Mettaton, before transforming into NEO

Power of "NEO" is the 99th track in the Undertale Soundtrack. This short and repetitive track plays when the protagonist fights Mettaton NEO near the end of the Genocide Route, or before the Alphys Ending. Its melody interpolates the opening notes of Battle Against a True Hero.

Trivia

• The leitmotif was reused in BIG SHOT from Deltarune Chapter 2's OST, where it features as the theme of the hidden boss.
  • The hidden boss of Deltarune Chapter 2 was originally going to be a "real" battle against Mettaton NEO that wouldn't end in one turn. Toby Fox would compose several mock-ups of an extended version of Power of "NEO" for this, but scrapped it when the battle's ultimate character in the chapter's release became solidified.
  • The Japanese translation of "BIG SHOT" is "Power of [[BIG]]."
