Temmie Shopkeeper

Temmie Armor is an armor item sold at the Tem Shop. It is the second most powerful armor in the game, and the most powerful armor available outside of the Genocide Route. This armor is also the only armor not associated with any of the Human SOULs, and the only armor to not have a weapon counterpart.

Acquiring[]

The Temmie Shopkeeper announcing how she learned how to sell the Temmie Armor from college.

To purchase it, the protagonist must first purchase "tem pay 4 colleg" for 1000G to unlock the item. The protagonist cannot obtain this on the Genocide Route as the option to pay for college is replaced with “premiem” Temmie Flakes.

After unlocking the Temmie Armor, the Temmie Shopkeeper explains that while the armor is amazing, it can and will ruin the experience of combat. The shopkeeper recommends that the protagonist buy the armor if they are having trouble with a certain fight only.

9999G is the initial price for the Temmie Armor, but each death reduces the cost (losing battles without dying, such as against Papyrus, does not count). Deaths persist across resets, so the Temmie Shopkeeper accounts for all deaths that happened since the last True Reset (or Genocide Route completion). The cost of the Temmie Armor stops decreasing after the protagonist's twenty-fifth death at 750G.

Trivia[]

  • The Tem Shop has code to further drop the Temmie Armor's price to 500G after 30 deaths. However, this goes unused due to a logic error.[1][2]

  2. As you may know, Undertale's Tem Armor lowers in cost each time you die. The lowest possible price is 750G after 25 deaths. Turns out, the code reveals that the price could've gone as low as 500G after 30 deaths, but Toby typed in the wrong number, and so it never happens... oops - @Maximus123458 on Twitter, January 07, 2020.
