失落靈魂（The Lost Souls）是玩家在與Asriel Dreemurr的最終型態（God of Hyperdeath）戰鬥時可以用「SAVE」選項來拯救（Save）的「敵人」，他們實際上全都是玩家的朋友──包含了Toriel、Asgore、Papyrus、Sans、Undyne和Alphys。當拯救完所有人，使全部的朋友恢復記憶時，就可以拯救Asriel。
描述
失落靈魂的臉部被一團亂碼所籠罩，看不清他們的表情。在恢復記憶以後，亂碼會消失，靈魂會恢復他們原本的模樣。失落靈魂的攻擊方式全都與當初他們在對戰中展現的攻擊模式相同。對他們進行的攻擊將全數落空，因為靈魂沒有實體。在戰鬥中，失落靈魂們會復述他們過去的台詞，表現出負面的情感。與他們進行與過去似曾相識的互動至少三次（雙人戰鬥將需要四次互動），使失落靈魂們想起與玩家之間的感情與羈絆，是結束戰鬥的唯一方法。
Toriel和Asgore
Toriel和Asgore作为失落灵魂出现时
玩家在拯救介面時不管是選擇了Toriel還是Asgore，他們都將一起出現。他們將使用火球進行攻擊。選擇第一位失落的靈魂，可用的行動有對話（Talk）、仁慈（Mercy）、擁抱（Hug）和偏好的口味（Preference）；選擇第二位失落的靈魂，可以選擇對話、瞪視（Stare）、仁慈與擁抱。若玩家在他們的戰鬥中吃掉奶油派，派的香氣會將接下來需要行動的次數降至一次，之後他們便會恢復記憶。最後，Toriel會說「你的命運現在由你自己決定了！（Your fate is up to you now!）」，Asgore則會說「你是我們的未來！（You are our future!）」。
Undyne
Undyne作为失落灵魂出现时
